    Abstract: A reinforced composite plastic material has a matrix of thermoplastic material in which is dispersed at least 5% by weight of a polyethylene having a very high molecular weight. The reinforcing polymer is in the form of fine particles which, in large proportion, are drawn out in the form of elongated fibrils which impart considerable strength to the resulting composite plastic material.
