  • Patent number: 11947440
Abstract: A method for managing features for a search system using declarative metadata. The method includes receiving search metadata including declarative statements identifying at least one search feature to be enabled across a plurality of components of the search system, performing functional verification of the at least one search feature, testing the at least one search feature, and enabling the at least one search feature in at least one of the plurality of components of the search system in response to positive functional verification and positive testing.

  • Patent number: 5447619
Abstract: A surface of copper foil is protected from oxidation and tarnishing by electrodepositing on the surface a protective layer containing metallic zinc and one or more compound of tri-valent chromium, which protection layer is easily removable by dissolution in a dilute aqueous alkaline solution and which preferably has a zinc to chromium weight ratio of 1:1 or greater. An electrodeposited copper foil especially suited for multilayer printed circuit boards has such a protective layer electrodeposited on the matte side thereof and an electrodeposited copper bonding treatment on the shiny side thereof.

  • Patent number: 5215646
Abstract: A one-step electrolytic process and apparatus for producing metal foil, e.g., copper foil having a low profile treated surface for use in fabricating printed circuit boards, wherein primary foil is electrodeposited on a cathode in a first electrodeposition zone using a first current density while circulating electrolyte therein under turbulent flow conditions, and micronodules of the metal are electrodeposited on a matte surface of the primary foil in a second electrodeposition zone using a second current density greater than the first current density while circulating electrolyte therein under laminar flow conditions. A grain refining agent is employed in the electrolyte to further improve the quality. The process provides a low profile finished foil having a high peel strength.

  • Patent number: 4434498
Abstract: A digital signal formed from successive words representing quantized samples of sound information and comprising silent periods is synchronized with a local reading clock. For that, the words are stored in a random access memory as they arrive, they are read at the frequency of the local clock and the filling rate of the store is permanently determined. A comparator compares this rate with a given range. If the filling rate is greater than a maximum threshold or less than a minimum threshold, the contents of the memory are modified at the first silent interval which appears.

  • Patent number: 4420843
Abstract: The present invention relates to an improvement to cyclists' gloves, wherein a lining member is provided inside the glove, which lining member is placed between the cyclist's hand and the wall of the glove, the said lining member having a part which adopts the outline of the palm of the hand and a collar-shaped part provided with an opening on one side, defining the space between the thumb and the index, when the hand is half-closed.

  • Patent number: 4398290
Abstract: The consequences of the loss of a packet are attenuated in a digital data communication apparatus using packet switching by structuring the digital data as multibit words into frames having a fixed length l and assembling the frames into packets all having the same predetermined length L=kl, where k is a predetermined integer. Continuity index words incremented by one each time a new frame or packet is assembled may be located into the frame locking word or the packet prefix. Then the number of packets which are lost may be determined at the receiver location by monitoring the successively received index words. When the digital data represent successive samples which are correlated, for instance when such samples represent a sound, substitution data may be generated at the receiver location and used in place of the missing data.
