Abstract: The anti-skid device includes a housing capable of being removably fastened on an outer side of a vehicle wheel. An anti-skid travel path, formed of chains, is connected to a plurality of radial arms of the housing. The chains are automatically positioned on the wheel of the vehicle upon advancement of the vehicle, when an elastic member extending through the housing pulls the housing in a direction towards the wheel. A lever is provided between the housing and the wheel and includes an extension which extends through a radial passage of a fastening device connected to a nut of the wheel.

Abstract: An anti-skid device for a vehicle is automatically positioned by securing members 50 which cause the device to pass from an installation position to the operating position in which an anti-skid assembly 70, such as a snow chain arrangement, is arranged on the peripheral surface of the tire 10. The anti-skid device comprises a principal annular section 30 fixed to the anti-skid assembly 70 by arms 40 and arranged in a manner such that the securing member 50 can be fixed to this annular section 30 and can move freely over the circumference thereof.

Abstract: An antiskid device is provided for a vehicle wheel comprising a detachable antiskid rolling track on the periphery of the wheel, a central housing for holding radial linking elements or arms which are also attached to chain guides inserted in said rolling track, and a return member designed to automatically position the rolling track and hold it on the periphery of the wheel. The rolling track comprises resilient elements capable of eliminating the play between the peripheral surface of the tire and said antiskid rolling track.

Abstract: An anti-skid device for a vehicle wheel is provided comprising an axial part having a plurality of arms extending therefrom which are attached to an anti-skid assembly, such as a snow chain arrangement. The axial part includes a securing device which rotates freely relative to the axial part for securing the anti-skid device to the vehicle wheel. Thus, the rotary motion of the anti-skid assembly around the wheel is not transferred to the securing device.
