  • Patent number: 6666485
Abstract: A locking/unlocking device for a waste collection container for automatically locking/unlocking, by gravity, the lid (2) of the container (1) on the vessel (4) of the container. A pivoting piece (8) is fixed in an articulated fashion to the internal face of the lid, and has a lever (8d) having a hook (9) engaging in an orifice (13) in the vessel; and an arm 8b) coming into engagement with a hook (7c) on an articulated angled piece (7). Tilting of the container (1) causes, by gravity effect, the pivoting of the angled piece (7) and then the pivoting of the pivoting piece (8) thus released from the hook (7c), towards an unlocked position. The device also relates to a container equipped with such a locking/unlocking device.

  • Patent number: 5365627
Abstract: An oral hygiene device has a handle and an automatic stem insertion system and comprises a pair of keys on the motor driven shaft. A bore receives the shaft, and slots receive the keys. A pair of sleeves each having a ramp for receiving and engaging the keys. When coupling the stem to the handle and with a camming action of the keys on the ramp, the ramps guide the keys into the slots. A radially extending flange is on the base of the shaft; and a pair of flexible arms having a recess receive the flange. Upon coupling the stem to the handle, the flange engages the arms and flex the arms outwardly and further movement of the stem onto the handle causes the flange to enter the recesses with a snap action; and upon withdrawal of the stem from the handle, the flange causes the arm to flex outwardly to release the flanges from the recesses.

  • Patent number: 4776480
Abstract: The invention applies to a waste-paper basket having a detachable tub for receiving litter held against a support column by a hook-and-bolt system. According to the invention, the support column (2) has towards its upper part (2) an element forming a tub-cover (2) completely solid with an elongated central beam essentially vertical in its position of use. The invention applies in particular to a basket intended to be used at a fixed site in the street to receive litter tossed away by passersby.

  • Patent number: 4391386
Abstract: Handling case with incorporated foldable lid.According to the invention, the case includes a lid made of two parts (4, 5) hinged to one another about a hinge (6) and which may be tipped against one another, hook-shaped mechanisms (12) being provided on the front part (5) of the lid which lock into slots (13) formed in a corresponding location along the edge (14) of the case when the lid is closed. The invention is applicable in particular to cases which can be stacked one inside the other when they are empty.

  • Patent number: 4138064
Abstract: A nozzle assembly for coupling with the outlet of a rinsing device. The assembly includes a two-part nozzle holder, with one part having a pair of diametrically opposite grooves. Each of the grooves has one groove section inclined to the axis of the nozzle holder and a second groove section which merges into the first. The second section is oriented perpendicular to the axis of the nozzle holder. The other part of the nozzle holder includes a pair of projections deposed in the grooves. Rotation of one part of the holder with respect to the other causes a valve assembly to open and close. The valve assembly includes an internal pin within the nozzle assembly. The pin has a rounded head and forms the closing member. It is situated within a flow passage defined by a bushing having an inner sleeve. Axial grooves may be provided to facilitate assembly of the two-part nozzle.

  • Patent number: 4133482
Abstract: A rinsing device for personal hygiene, particularly a mouth-washing device, operates as a liquid pulse generator. This is provided with a pressure-water passage which can be connected to a source of pressure water and an outlet to which a spray nozzle can be connected, preferably via a flexible tube. A rotary valve is included which can be set in rotation and is mounted between the pressure-water passage and the outlet. The rotating valve is adapted to close the outlet intermittently to produce a pulsating jet of liquid. A turbine is adapted to drive the rotary valve and is provided with at least one tangentially oriented jet opening at its periphery and which is in communication with the pressure-water passage.
