  • Publication number: 20070255011
Abstract: The present invention concerns polymeric materials having propylene and/or ethylene motifs with a chlorinated surface, in particular materials used in the automotive industry, such as moulded products, and their applications in various other fields. It also deals with a method of preparing said materials.
    Type: Application

  • Patent number: 6175986
Abstract: A wiping strip for a motor vehicle screen wiper is in the form of a profiled element of vulcanised material consisting of rubber or an elastomeric material, having a surface layer for reducing the coefficient of friction between the wiping strip and a glass surface to be wiped. The surface layer is formed by immersion of the profiled element in a solution, or by exposing the profiled element to the solution in atomised form. The solution consists of a solvent with a powder, such as graphite, dispersed in it. The step of forming the surface layer is carried out during the step of vulcanising the material of the profiled element.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 11, 1999
Date of Patent: January 23, 2001
    Assignee: Valeo Systemes d'Essuyage

  • Patent number: 6010752
Abstract: A profiled element for use as a wiping strip in a motor vehicle screen wiper is made of rubber or an elastomer, and has a coating formed by applying a solution to the profiled element. The solution comprises a powder of graphite for example, which is dispersed in a resin, and the solution includes a proofing agent for making the coating impermeable.
