  • Patent number: 5372056
Abstract: In a method for the manufacturing or a foil capacitor, cut out into unit blocks by a circular saw blade from a capacitive strip, the saw blade rotates about an axis passing through a point of rotation that is offset with respect to the center of the saw blade. The method can be applied to the manufacture of capacitors with metallized dielectric films.

  • Patent number: 5291642
Abstract: A method of producing at least one non-metallized strip on metallized flexible plastic film rolls and a method of producing stacked or wound capacitors using such rolls. One feature of the process of producing at least one non-metallized strip is that the said non-metallized strip is produced by a laser beam applied to the lateral face of a roll at a non-zero angle of incidence .alpha..

  • Patent number: 5196651
Abstract: A package for the encapsulation of an electronic component (50) includes a bottom (40), lateral faces (41) positioned around a main axis of the package and an open face (42) opposite the bottom (40). Each lateral face (41) includes guides (48) for guiding connection wires (45) of the component (50). These guides (48) are distributed evenly around the main axis of the package. The sides of the bottom (40) are equal.

  • Patent number: 5144523
Abstract: Disclosed is a foil capacitor made by the stacking of metallized films. The multiple-layer type output plate has intermediate layers made of alloys of the layers that are contiguous to them. Also disclosed is a method for the manufacture of the capacitor, wherein the intermediate layers are formed by the spraying of molten metal.

  • Patent number: 5051862
Abstract: A stacked or coiled type of metallized flexible dielectric film capacitor is made by the direct superimposition of at least two metallized films, laterally offset with respect to one another so as to form alternating even-order and odd-order layers, designed to be connected to one another by lateral electrical connections. One of the faces of the films is entirely metallized and the gap between two same-order layers is filled with an insulator material itself covered by the lateral electrical connections.

  • Patent number: 5018046
Abstract: The disclosure concerns the fabrication of film capacitors of the stacked or coiled type. These capacitors, shaped like a block, are made with films supporting at least one metallization. They have two metal plates placed on two opposite lateral faces of the block. These plates are formed by at least two pads. One of the pads of each plate is used to apply a severe electrical treatment. These pads are obtained by making a notch in the plate or by masking during the metallization of the plate. The disclosure is applicable to film capacitors capable of undergoing a severe electrical treatment without loss of capacitance.
