    Abstract: In order to reduce the contamination of scandium oxide products, the present disclosure provides a process for removing at least one metal contaminant from a scandium (Sc) concentrate. The process is based on contacting the Sc concentrate with an ion exchange resin to obtain a purified Sc eluate or raffinate. The first ion exchange resin and the second ion exchange resin are strong acid cationic resins with sulfonic acid functional groups in a potassium or sodium form. The purified Sc eluate or raffinate can be used to make scandium oxide products having a reduced amount of metal ion contaminants.

    Abstract: Index values are periodically incremented at a central or primary video production control system and a video production control system node. Messages that include or otherwise indicate current index values generated by the primary video production control system are transmitted to the video production control system node, and the node reflects the messages back to the primary video production control system. The primary video production control system determines a round-trip message time, associated with the video production control system node, based on the transmitted messages and reflections of the messages received from the node. A further message that includes or otherwise indicates an instruction for execution of a task at a target execution time, is transmitted by the primary video production control system to the node at a time, in advance of the target execution time, that is based on the round-trip message time.

    Abstract: The present disclosure provides a process for polishing at least one metal contaminant from a stock solution comprising Sc comprising the steps of a) contacting the stock solution with an ion exchange resin capturing Sc and the at least one metal contaminate so as to produce a metal ion exchange resin complex, and b) scrubbing the metal resin complex with a scrubbing solution comprising a carboxylate ion, so as to produce a Sc ion exchange resin complex and a spent carboxylate solution, which can be treated by electrodialysis to regenerate the carboxylate ion required for scrubbing.
