Abstract: The invention relates to an ignition system comprising an igniter constituted by a receptacle, an ignition initiator disposed at one end of said receptacle, and a solid charge placed inside the receptacle, the solid charge comprising pyrotechnic compositions and reactive divided metals capable of reacting with one another exothermically, which compositions successively comprise, from the end of the receptacle carrying the initiator, a pyrotechnic ejection composition, a pyrotechnic ignition composition, and reactive divided metals respectively of decreasing activity, wherein the igniter is associated with a combustion chamber containing a fluid constituted by liquid products or formed by mixtures of gases and of liquids or of solid particles, to ensure, by projection of said solid charge within said fluid, the heating or ignition of said fluid.

Abstract: The invention relates to a combustion chamber of a ramjet and booster rocket, which comprises an inner envelope provided with upstream lateral ports for the inlet of air and a downstream nozzle for ejecting the combustion gases, to allow functioning of the rocket at cruising speed; an outer envelope, concentric to the inner envelope and closed, with the exclusion of a single rear port for the ejection of the gases, to allow functioning of the rocket at launching speed; and separating means for separating from the combustion chamber at least a part of the outer envelope, at the end of the launching phase, in order to ensure the clearance of the upstream lateral ports of the inner envelope.

Abstract: An igniter for a combustible powder block comprises a non combustible receptacle with an ignition initiator arranged at one end of the receptacle and a charge in the receptacle for thrusting on to the combustible parts of the block to produce ignition, the charge including a pyrotechnic ejection compound, a pyrotechnic ignition compound and reactive divided metals, the charge having decreasing activity successively from the end of the receptacle carrying the initiative.
