  • Patent number: 7685712
Abstract: Method for repairing a rubbing surface of a variable-pitch blade of a turbomachine, consisting in filling a deficit of material of said surface of the blade that results from wear thereof by depositing a metallic product by electrolysis then in forming at least one thin layer of a hard material with a low coefficient of friction onto the deposited metallic product and on the surrounding part of said surface.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 13, 2006
Date of Patent: March 30, 2010
    Assignee: SNECMA
Inventors: Christelle Foucher, Claude Marcel Mons, Michel Ruimi

  • Publication number: 20050121115
Abstract: The invention concerns a sealing method for producing a film of oxide having good saline corrosion resistance properties on a metal substrate. Said method comprises steps consisting of: providing a buffered sealing solution comprising at least one simple cobalt II salt and at least one simple lithium III salt; and bringing said metal substrate having a previously oxidized surface into contact with said sealing solution for a period sufficient to form a mixed cobalt/lithium oxide film. More particularly, this method is applicable to a metal substrate produced from aluminum or from aluminum alloy anodized in a sulfuric medium.

  • Patent number: 6582585
Abstract: The method according to the invention comprises a macrographic etching step followed by a “bleaching” step by electrolytic etching by means of a bath containing at least phosphoric acid and a weak acid. This method allows components made of superalloys to be easily and effectively inspected, including when they contain elements such as rhenium or ruthenium.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 27, 2001
Date of Patent: June 24, 2003
    Assignee: SNECMA Moteurs
Inventors: Michel Ruimi, Sylvie Poutonnet, Philippe Poubanne

  • Patent number: 5989735
Abstract: A coating for protecting metal components against corrosion in a saline atmosphere comprises at least one layer of a tin/zinc alloy containing between 8% and 35% by weight of zinc deposited on a sublayer of an alloy of zinc/nickel containing between 10% and 16% by weight of nickel, the thickness proportion of the two alloys forming the coating being two-thirds in the case of the zinc/nickel alloy and one-third in the case of the tin/zinc alloy. The coating may also include an external chromate film.

  • Patent number: 4707191
Abstract: A pickling bath for iron or nickel based heat-resistance alloy article having at least 3.5% molybdenum is disclosed. The bath consists of an aqueous solution of hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, acetic acid, phosphoric acid and further contains a ferric salt. Processes for using the bath to treat said alloy articles are also disclosed.
