  • Publication number: 20080206540
Abstract: Mechanically reinforcing complex (3), intended for incorporation in a composite part (1) with injected resin based core (2), comprising a reinforcing textile structure (5), for impregnation in a thermoset resin conferring mechanical properties. It is characterized in that it comprises a layer of open-cell foam (4), present on the inner face of the complex (3), intended to come into contact with the resin of the injected core (2).

  • Publication number: 20070117486
Abstract: A woven cloth based on high-strength yarns, in particular fiberglass yarns, is used for reinforcing parts moulded by resin transfer moulding (RTM) and comprises threads which are disposed in a weft direction and are not perpendicular to warp threads. Said woven cloth is characterised in that a ratio TcDc/TtDt ranges from 0.2 to 0.8, wherein Tc is a warp thread number, Tt is weft tread number, Dc is the number of warp threads per length unit and Dt is the number of weft threads per length unit.

  • Patent number: 6655416
Abstract: A textile material in sheet form consisting of a warp and weft fabric produced by rovings of continuous technical filaments (for example, glass, carbon, or aramide filaments) without torsion is disclosed. The textile material may be produced according to a plain weave or derivative thereof, for example, the density of the warp threads (C) and the weft threads (T) may be balanced. The warp threads(C) or weft threads (T) are weakened or cut individually at predetermined intervals without any noticeable deterioration in the characteristics of the weft or warp threads located beneath the weakened or cut area. The areas in which a series of threads of the fabric (C) or (T) are weakened or cut may be produced with a lateral and vertical thread course between two consecutive threads.
