  • Patent number: 4086124
Abstract: In a method of polarization of a ferroelectric material having a Curie point at a temperature T.sub.c, the material is brought to a temperature above T.sub.c, subjected to a temperature gradient and then returned to a temperature below the Curie point. No electric field is applied, because the temperature gradient itself has been found to produce ferroelectric polarization under the described circumstances.
