  • Publication number: 20040004381
Abstract: The motor vehicle seat comprises a seat proper and a seat back. The seat is caused to go from a passenger position to a first load position by causing the seat proper to pivot through 90° about a horizontal axis close to its front edge, and by causing the seat back to pivot through 90° about a horizontal axis close to its bottom edge. The seat back thus comes to occupy the space that is occupied by the seat proper when it is in the passenger position. The seat is caused to go from the first load position to a second load position by causing the seat proper to pivot through a further 90° about its horizontal axis. The seat is caused to go from the passenger position to the first load position, and then from the first load position to the second load position, by actuating a single handle.

  • Patent number: 6257541
Abstract: A vehicle seat slide includes a fixed section, a mobile section, a memory shoe sliding along the fixed section and defining a memorized position of the mobile section, a first actuator which simultaneously unlocks the slide and fastens the shoe to the mobile section, and a second actuator which unlocks only the slide. The second actuator operates a fastener device of the shoe via a cable.

  • Patent number: 6244661
Abstract: This concerns a vehicle seat including a back pivoting mounted on a seat part by means of a locking mechanism able to be activated by a user to unlock the seat back, the seat comprising additionally an inertia safety device adapted to drive the locking mechanism into its locked position in the event of the vehicle being subjected to an impact. This safety device includes an input component which is driven by the pivoting of the seat back and which is connected to the locking mechanism by means of an inertia clutch.

  • Patent number: 6126133
Abstract: This concerns a slide rail for a vehicle seat, comprising a fixed section, a mobile section sliding on the section, and a catch movable vertically between a locked position and an unlocked position allowing the mobile section to slide. The catch is controlled by a rigid rod in the shape of a crankshaft which pivots on the mobile section and which slides in an inclined groove integral with a slider which is movable transversally on the mobile section.

  • Patent number: 6113051
Abstract: The slide includes a fixed section and a movable section sliding in the fixed section. An edge of the fixed section, equipped with a row of notches, is located in the direct vicinity of a sidewall of the movable section. A lock, movable crosswise to the sliding direction, is equipped with teeth guided in the cutouts made in the wall and mating with the notches to lock the slide. The wall includes a stop, such as a folded portion, located opposite the edge. The dimensions and the material of the teeth are determined so that when a sliding force exceeding a predetermined value is applied, the teeth deform by deflecting parallel to the folded portion and their ends are then located opposite the folded portion preventing the lock from unlocking.
