Abstract: A dental-on-line system includes a central or master server having storage including image presentations relating to a plurality of dental surgical protocols; and a plurality of satellite installations in dentists' offices, with each satellite office including a video monitor and a computer; and arrangements for coupling the satellite offices to the central server to receive up-to-date image presentations of selected protocols. The satellite offices include controls for selecting and advancing to selected protocol images. The system may also include arrangements for (1) displaying medication or drug alternatives, (2) writing prescriptions, (3) dialing a patient's telephone number, (4) displaying patient's treatment history, and (5) displaying dental radiology images.
