    Abstract: The suction head comprises a housing (1) provided with a suction tube (2) and closed by a bottom sole plate (4) which has at least two longitudinal channels in the form of grooves communicating with the tube via at least one window (14). According to the invention, at least one removable blade (19) carrying a thread-pickup cloth (20) having oriented fibers is suitable for being received in one of the channels and for at least partially obstructing a window, with the fibers being directed towards the window which is left unobstructed.

    Abstract: This nozzle attachment consists of a casing containing a fixed sole and a moving plate supporting a brush, a rocking nozzle pivotably mounted about a shaft in the casing, the internal conduit whereof opens onto a center duct in contact with said sole, a sleeve wherein is rotatably fitted a suction tube and which is pivotably supported by said rocking nozzle, the internal conduits of said sleeve and said tube being connected in an airtight manner with the conduit of said nozzle, and a floor bearing roller mounted in a freewheeling manner about a shaft supported by said rocking nozzle at the back of said casing.In accordance with the invention, said sleeve is pivotably mounted on said rocking nozzle about a shaft located between the nozzle's swiveling axis with respect to the casing and the centerline of the floor-contacting surface of the floor bearing part.

    Abstract: An appliance for cleaning various types of floors by suction and motorized beating or brushing, has several operational members or elements including a rotary brush or beater, a motor (electrical, mechanical, or turbine) for rotating the brush, and at least one suction channel connecting the brush housing to a pivoting connection which attaches to an external suction source. The various operational members or elements are all integrally mounted onto or formed within a single molded platform which forms the body of the appliance. The assembled platform then becomes the single operational element of the appliance and allows direct access to the functional members or elements. The platform is covered with a protective cover and attaches to a sliding or rolling base plate.
