    Abstract: The capacitor probe is made up of two parts, both of which are in fluid communication with the interior of the tank or pipe the liquid level of which is to be measured. One part (7) of the probe is located at the bottom of the probe and acts as a reference capacitor. The other part (4) of the probe extends upwardly to the maximum liquid level to be measured. The part (4) includes two identical measuring capacitors, one of which is connected to the reference capacitor.
