Patent number: 12163355Abstract: A portable hoop lock comprises a lock body that accommodates an electromechanical locking mechanism; and a hoop that has at least one locking section that can be selectively introduced into the lock body or released from the lock body, wherein the locking mechanism comprises at least one latch and an electric motor for driving the latch, wherein the latch is configured to lock the locking section of the hoop introduced into the lock body to the lock body in a locking position and to release the locking section of the hoop for a removal from the lock body in a release position. In this respect, the electric motor is configured to selectively move the latch from the locking position into the release position via a drive transmission section of the locking mechanism and the lock body has a watertight cover that surrounds the electric motor.Type: GrantFiled: August 20, 2020Date of Patent: December 10, 2024Assignee: ABUS August Bremicker Söhne KGInventor: Michel Wehr

Publication number: 20230064198Abstract: An electromechanical lock includes an electromechanical locking mechanism and a control circuit, wherein an associated counter-piece is locked by way of the locking mechanism. The locking mechanism has a latch, an entrainer that is rotatable about an axis of rotation for driving the latch, and an electric motor for driving the entrainer, wherein the latch is moveable between a locking position and an unlocking position, wherein the latch is preloaded in the direction of the locking position. The entrainer is rotatable into a release position, a standby position, and a blocking position and the latch can is driven to perform a movement into the unlocking position by rotating the entrainer into the release position. In the standby position, the latch is released to be urged back against the preload. In the blocking position, the entrainer blocks the latch against a movement in the direction of the unlocking position.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 25, 2022Publication date: March 2, 2023Inventors: Michel WEHR, Bernd WEIERSHAUSEN

Patent number: 10358842Abstract: A lock cylinder comprises a cylinder housing, a disk housing rotatably supported about a cylinder axis in the cylinder housing, a plurality of rotatably supported disk tumblers arranged along the cylinder axis in the disk housing, wherein each disk tumbler has a reception opening for a key, and a blocking element which is arranged in front of the disk tumblers, with respect to the key introduction direction, and is rotationally coupled to the disk housing. The blocking element is movable by a rotation of the key in an unlatching direction out of a blocking position in which the blocking element engages into a reception recess at the inner wall of the cylinder housing into a release position in which the blocking element is out of engagement with the reception recess.Type: GrantFiled: December 22, 2015Date of Patent: July 23, 2019Assignee: ABUS AUGUST BREMICKER SÖHNE KGInventor: Michel Wehr

Patent number: 10240364Abstract: A key or a key blank for a disk cylinder having a plurality of rotatably supported disk tumblers has a key shaft having a shaft cross-section that comprises a first end section, a second end section and a connection section along a longitudinal axis, the connection section connecting the first end section and the second end section to one another. The connection section is narrower than the two end sections and has two longitudinal edges that are aligned in parallel with one another and that extend obliquely to the longitudinal axis of the shaft cross-section between the two end sections.Type: GrantFiled: July 31, 2017Date of Patent: March 26, 2019Assignee: ABUS August Bremicker Söhne KGInventor: Michel Wehr

Patent number: 10006224Abstract: A lock cylinder comprises a cylinder housing, a disk housing rotatably supported about a cylinder axis in the cylinder housing and a plurality of rotatably supported disk tumblers arranged along the cylinder axis in the disk housing, wherein each disk tumbler has a reception opening for a key, a blocking cut-out at the outer periphery for an at least partial reception of a blocking pin aligned in parallel with the cylinder axis and a fixing cut-out provided offset from the blocking cut-out at the outer periphery for an at least partial reception of a core pin aligned in parallel with the cylinder axis. The disk tumblers are rotatable from a starting position with a removed key into an end sorting position by a rotation of the introduced key in the latching direction, in which end sorting position the blocking cut-outs of all the disk tumblers are oriented in alignment with one another, viewed in the direction of the cylinder axis.Type: GrantFiled: December 22, 2015Date of Patent: June 26, 2018Assignee: ABUS AUGUST BREMICKER SÖHNE KGInventor: Michel Wehr
