  • Patent number: 11877342
Abstract: An emergency route back number (ERBN) may be assigned for use in emergency calls. A telecommunication network associated that may be associated with a wireless service provider, may identify an emergency call directed to an emergency number (e.g., 9-1-1) that originated from a device that is not associated with a unique phone number such as a shared line, or a communication that utilizes some other indicator to establish the emergency call (e.g., an email address, or some other identifier). When an emergency call is detected that does not have a dedicated phone number, an ERBN is assigned to the communication. This ERBN may be reserved for some period of time after the emergency call ends such that emergency contact centers are able to reach callers back in case of dropped calls, fails, and/or additional emergency services that may need to reach the callers directly.

  • Patent number: 11252559
Abstract: A telecommunication network provides telecommunication service to a user equipment (UE) and a communication device that is connected to the telecommunication network via a private branch exchange. Both the UE and the communication device utilizing a Mobile Station International Subscriber Directory Number (MSISDN) for the telecommunication service, and the telecommunication network stores a profile associating both the UE and the communication device with the MSISDN. Additionally, the telecommunication network enables communication between the communication device and a communication partner device and notifies the UE of the communication.

  • Patent number: 11165835
Abstract: Systems and methods for providing a dynamically expandable conference call system using load balancing are described herein. Various examples use a media replication server. The media replication server accesses state information of one or more media control units. The state information is used to instantiate one or more media control unit high availability pairs. The media replication server further replicates media received into the conference call system by transmitting the received media to both an active media control unit and a standby media control unit. The media replication server may make modifications to the media control units handling a conference call to adjust for varying conditions such as a failure of one or more of the media control units or the addition of clients to the conference call.

  • Patent number: 11165910
Abstract: Automated unavailability response for call handling is used to notify an incoming caller that a subscriber is unavailable to answer the incoming call. An incoming call that is initiated from an originating caller device is received at a network server for routing to a terminating user device of a specific subscriber. A user profile of the specific subscriber that includes one or more unavailability notification settings for the incoming call is retrieved from a user profile database. An unavailability notification message is selected from a data store based at least on the one or more unavailable notification settings. The unavailability notification message is sent from the network server to the originating caller device.

  • Patent number: 11070668
Abstract: Techniques are described herein for providing call logs for cellular and internet calls that are rerouted to one or more terminating caller devices. The techniques include: organizing a call routing scheme based on call routing configuration settings, the call routing scheme directing routing of incoming calls to one or more user devices that receives service from a telecommunications network; receiving a call log request from a user device that includes a unique identifier of the user device or a user; transmitting the call log request to a database server of the telecommunications network to obtain a call log for an incoming call to the one or more user devices, the incoming call being routed according to the call routing scheme; and sending the call log to the user device to display the call log information at the user device.

  • Publication number: 20210185097
Abstract: A system may comprise a Media Control Unit (MCU) for establishing a conference call for a plurality of client devices. The MCU may determine an occurrence of a termination event associated with a first communication channel of the conference call. The MCU may send a first message requesting an indication of whether a BYE message associated with the client device is stored at a gateway and/or a router. The MCU may receive a response including an indication of an absence of the BYE message at the router and/or the gateway. The MCU may determine to send a call message to a Push Notification Server (PNS) instructing the PNS to send a push message to the client device. The push message may include data for establishing a second communication channel for the client device and, in some instances, for rejoining the client device to the conference call.

  • Publication number: 20210184876
Abstract: Techniques are described herein for implementing a conference management tool to start, schedule, and manage conferences. The techniques include receiving a scheduling request to schedule a conference from a user device via a communication channel. The communication channel can include a chatbot that is configured to access a calendar and an address book to fulfill the scheduling request. The chatbot may add a calendar association comprising the conference information to the calendar and retrieve contact information associated with one or more participants of the conference from the address book. The chatbot may also send a conference notification to the one or more participants, wherein the conference notification includes conference information that is associated with a conference code that may be presented to the user device.
