  • Patent number: 10518352
Abstract: A device for cleaning welds. The device comprises a bristles pad, the bristles pad being electrically conductive to deliver electrical current to a weld to be cleaned when the bristles pad is in physical contact with the weld. The device further includes a bristles pad support, the bristles pad support including an elongated body receiving the bristles pad and extending along the bristles pad, the elongated body including a first section and a second section attached to each other, the first section being separable from the second section to reduce a length of the bristles pad support.

  • Patent number: 8282795
Abstract: The torch with integrated electrolytic action for the surface treatment of metals, comprises a peak-paddle (2) connected with the unipolar electric current supply (7, 16) from an external apparatus, the other pole being connected with the metal surface being treated, and has the electrolytic solution used, for the specific treatment, arranged in a tank (6, 21) connected to said torch to supply said peak-paddle through channels inside said torch; the electrolytic solution being put under pressure in the delivery direction through a dosaging device of said solution controlled by the user. Different embodiments are described with manually actuated pumps and/or rigid or flexible tanks for spraying by the user. The tank (6, 21) is advantageously made removable, to allow the replacement of the electrolytic solution and to change the type of work to be carried out on the metallic surface in a quick and clean manner.

  • Patent number: 5964990
Abstract: The device proposed for cleaning metal surfaces consist of pad (12, 34, 91) of insulating material held between a beak-shaped (11, 52, 94) electrode (10, 26, 46) and the metal surface (8) to be cleaned, plus a low-voltage a.c. power supply (2) which is connected via the other electrode to the metal (7). A pump supplies the pad with a highly corrosive, high-density, acid solution. The pad consists of a relatively thick hose or tape. The device has slots (36) into which the gases and vapors produced during cleaning are drawn by an extractor fan (40) and then passed through a washing bottle (41) where they are cleaned. The electrode may have various shapes, and it is possible to replace the tip (28, 94, 98). The electrode is preferably designed with bores through which the acid solution can be fed.
