Opposing sides of the device capture the hair and maintain the hair in a set shape while the hair dries. The hairstyle produced by the device is controlled by the preselectable contour of the opposing sides of the device. The device is easy to grasp and open and is intended for single-handed operation. The device can aid a person having impaired use of his or her hands and arms to style his or her own hair.
