  • Publication number: 20190120153
Abstract: A system and method to perform bypass actuation detection includes alternating control of a bypass valve within an exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system of a vehicle to direct flow of gas through a cooler module or a bypass module within the EGR system. The method also includes determining a position of an EGR valve that directs the gas into the EGR system, and verifying operation of the bypass valve based on the position of the EGR valve.

  • Publication number: 20170161651
Abstract: A method for travel planning, based on object-oriented technology, performed on an electronic system including one or more electronic front-end sides, as clients, at least one electronic backend side, as server, one or more storing databases bidirectionally connected to the backend side, includes the following steps: logging in and accessing the electronic system through the frontend side; starting communication between the electronic front end side and backend side; performing a validation process and creating at least a new UGC at the front end side, sending it to the backend side, and storing it in the storing databases; through a content manager module, at the backend side, analyzing the UGC and assigning a ranking score to the UGC, creating an object by associating the UGC and thhe scoring, and additional information of geotagging and category, the additional information coming from the frontend side and/or from the storing databases, storing the object in the storing databases; through a search manager

  • Publication number: 20160203422
Abstract: An electronic system for travel route building, adapted to build multimodal itinerary routes including data relating to starting location, target location, intermediate location nodes, segments connecting the intermediate nodes and the starting and target location, including the following electronic modules: a search manager module receiving requests for travel route building from an electronic client device including data relating to the starting location and target location, and managing the building up of a number of the multimodal itinerary routes having the starting location and target location, to be submitted to the electronic client device for selection of the travel route between the starting location and target location; a harvesting module, controlled by the search manager module to perform data queries in an internal relational database and in external service providers' databases to get data relating to alternatives for the intermediate location nodes, segments connecting the intermediate nodes,

  • Patent number: 8211381
Abstract: A device for measuring the sedimentation rate in biological fluids, and particularly the erythrocyte sedimentation rate in blood samples. The device comprises: holders (3) for test tubes (P) containing samples of biological fluid; agitator devices (25) for agitating the test tubes; at least one detector (17, 19) for reading the levels inside the test tubes. The holders together form a continuous flexible member (1) defining a closed path along which the agitator devices and the detector are arranged.

  • Patent number: 6832722
Abstract: A method for data management in an analytical laboratory and a data management system include containers provided for the laboratory analysis of biological specimens. Each container is associated with its own identification code. A patient code is associated with a patient to be subjected to analysis. For each container used for a patient, a combination of a patient code and the identification code of the corresponding container is generated in a data processing system. At least one analyzer is used to carry out at least one analysis on the container or containers used for the patient. The analyzer enters the results of the analysis, combined with the identification code of the container or containers, into the data processing system.
