  • Publication number: 20160345152
Abstract: A method for handling emergency calls includes: receiving, by a user equipment attached to a mobile communication network, emergency call capability information indicative of whether the mobile communication network supports an emergency service for the user equipment in a case where the user equipment is connected to the mobile communication network via a wireless access point connected to an external packet data network; and initiating, by the user equipment, an emergency call via the wireless access point or via an access network of the mobile communication network different from the wireless access point based on whether or not the emergency call capability information indicates that the mobile communication network supports the emergency service for the user equipment in the case where the user equipment is connected to the mobile communication network via the wireless access point.

  • Patent number: 8913980
Abstract: A method for indicating an emergency call availability to a Mobile Equipment includes: storing, at a memory device attached to the ME, information regarding the possibility of unauthenticated emergency calls in dependency of availability data, determining that the ME is in a limited service state; and indicating, by the ME, emergency call availability. The availability data indicates, for at least a first mobile telecommunications network and a second mobile telecommunications network, whether: all unauthenticated emergency calls are allowed with or without an identification module inserted in the ME, unauthenticated emergency calls are only allowed if a valid identification module is inserted in the ME, or unauthenticated emergency calls are not allowed.

  • Patent number: 8423022
Abstract: Method for operating one or more cells (10) of a cellular mobile network, each cell (10) being identifiable by an emitted cell identifier (CSG_ID) use being limited/limitable to closed subscriber groups by the cell (10) having a corresponding identifier (CSG_ID) and the cell terminals (UE1, UE2, UE3) being registered in the respective cell (10) for use of the cellular mobile network services only after a positive matching with a positive list of authorized cell identifiers (CSG_ID1, CSG_ID2, CSG_ID3) which are stored in the cell terminal (UE1, UE2, UE3), the cell (10) emitting one or more further cell identifiers (CSG_ID2, CSG ID3) in parallel in addition to a first cell identifier (CSG_ID1), and that registration in the cell (10) and use of network services can take place by a first closed subscriber group to which a first group of cell terminals (UE1) belongs, whose respective positive lists contain the first cell identifier (CSG_ID1), and that registration in the cell (10) and use of network services can t

  • Publication number: 20100003965
Abstract: Method for operating one or more radio cells of a cellular mobile wireless network, and cellular mobile wireless system, wherein each radio cell may be identified by a broadcasted cell identifier, and wherein use may be limited to a closed subscriber group by the fact that the radio cell has a corresponding identifier, and mobile wireless terminals log into the particular radio cell to use the services of the mobile wireless network only after a match has been made with a positive list of allowed cell identifiers stored in the mobile wireless terminal. The cell identifier is variable, and on the basis of the cell identifier a determination may be made as to whether log-in and use of the network services is limited to the closed subscriber group at that moment, or alternatively, whether log-in and use of the network services is enabled for any subscriber.
