  • Publication number: 20050238899
Abstract: A rapid cure sprayable liquid coating composition containing a highly branched film-forming polyester polyol resin, a polyisocyanate crosslinking agent, and a volatile organic liquid carrier. Low molecular weight film-forming silane compounds are incorporated in the coating for better film properties, such as improved adhesion to commercially available windshield adhesives, and also for reduced spray viscosity, which leads to higher spray solids and lower volatile organic content. The coating composition can be used as a clearcoat over a pigmented basecoat to provide an attractive exterior automotive finish.
