    Abstract: A method for fabricating a case for a portable electronic device and cases for portable electronics devices are disclosed. A piece of decorative sheet material may be cut from a larger sheet of the decorative sheet material. The piece of decorative sheet material cut to essentially the same size as an inner surface of a transparent back plate, the transparent back plate and a rim collectively forming a housing for the portable electronic device. The piece of decorative sheet material may be bonded to the inner surface of the transparent back plate.
