Abstract: An endoscope includes a connection portion for connecting the endoscope to a camera head; a needle assembly; a sleeve that is fixed relative to the needle assembly; a focusing optic assembly housed within the sleeve and comprising at least one optical component, the focusing optic assembly being translatable relative to the sleeve for adjusting a focus of the endoscope; and a user-engageable rotator operably coupled to the needle assembly and the sleeve to rotate the needle assembly and sleeve relative to the connection portion to adjust a view direction of the needle assembly.

Abstract: A coupler for coupling an endoscope to a camera head includes a base configured to mount to the camera head and to receive an eyepiece of the endoscope; a clamp for clamping the eyepiece in the base, the clamp configured to move laterally relative to a longitudinal axis of the coupler between a clamping position and non-clamping position; at least one clamping arm rotatably connected to the clamp and comprising a pin that moves in a slot of the base, wherein when the clamp moves laterally toward the clamping position, movement of the pin in the slot causes the at least one clamping arm to rotate into engagement with the eyepiece; and a button for pressing by a user to move the clamp from the clamping position to the non-clamping position.

Abstract: An illuminator including a receptacle for connecting a light cable to an illuminator. The receptacle includes a clamp assembly having a plurality of clamping jaws that are moveable from an open configuration in which a connecter of the light cable can be positioned between the clamping jaws for receiving light traveling in a light pathway in the illuminator to a closed configuration in which the clamping jaws completely block the light pathway, and a clutch that is movable between an engaged position for holding the clamping jaws in the open configuration and a disengaged position for allowing the clamping jaws to move to a gripped configuration and to the closed configuration, the clutch can be pushed by the connector when the connector is positioned between the clamping jaws to move the clutch out of the engaged position so that the clamp assembly moves the clamping jaws to the gripped configuration.
