Abstract: Automation solutions for event logging and debugging on KUBERNETES are disclosed. A system for providing no-instrumentation telemetry for a distributed application cluster includes at least one processor for executing computer-executable instructions stored in a memory. The instructions, when executed, instruct the at least one processor to provide an edge module configured to deploy a Berkeley Packet Filter (BPF) probe and a corresponding BPF program in the computing environment. The BPF probe is triggered based on an event associated with a distributed application running in a user space of the computing environment. Data associated with the event is captured in a kernel space of the computing environment via the BPF program. The captured data is transferred from the kernel space of the computing environment to the user space of the computing environment.

When sequential CRLs are generated there is the potential that there will be no changes in the data associated with the CRL. In this case a recipient of the new CRL may needlessly perform processing on the new CRL. A CRL consistent with embodiments of the present invention provides an extension to specify the CRL number of the last_changed CRL. This provides the recipient with information to determine whether the new CRL should be processed or the existing data is up to date.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for producing an enhanced CRL. In response to a request containing an identifier of the most recently owned CRL stored by the requested, a certificate authority generates a CRL spanning from the most recently owned CRL to the current CRL. This CRL is formatted as a delta CRL and transmitted as a reply to the requester. This has the advantage of not requiring transmission of the full CRL even though more than one generation of CRL has occurred since the most recently owned CRL by the requester.
