  • Patent number: 7969054
Abstract: A superconductivity utilizing support mechanism comprises a superconductive coil and a ferromagnetic body. One of the ferromagnetic body, so constituted as to slide in a direction of a center axis of the superconductive coil, and the superconductive coil, so constituted as to slide in a direction of the center axis thereof, is floated and supported relative to the other by axial magnetic attraction caused by a center plane of the superconductive coil and a center plane of the ferromagnetic body moving apart from each other.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: June 28, 2011
    Assignee: Central Japan Railway Company
Inventors: Hiroshi Nakashima, Eiji Suzuki, Michiaki Kubota, Yuichi Kozuma
  • Patent number: 7948131
Abstract: In a superconducting magnetic thrust bearing with integrated dynamotor, a first fixed core is formed to have a U-shaped cross-section in a direction of the central axis of the cylindrical shape with an opening of the U-shape being directed perpendicularly to the central axis, and a superconducting coil is arranged on the inside of the U-shaped portion of the first fixed core formed into the U-shape. A rotary core has projecting ends at positions opposite to two projecting ends of the U-shape of the first fixed core, and a magnetic flux guide path, at a position opposite to an armature core, with a shape varying at predetermined intervals in the winding direction of the superconducting coil. The rotary core is constituted such that it rotates relatively to the first fixed core and is able to move in the direction of the central axis of the first fixed core.
