  • Patent number: 11507716
Abstract: Methods, computer program products, and systems are presented. The methods include, for instance: obtaining service life data of a part including a maintenance operation count of the part. The life expectancy of the part is formulated as a function of a life span of the part and the maintenance operation count at a point in time based on the obtained service life data and data interpolated therefrom. A life expectancy model is built based on the function and a plurality of life expectancies are predicted by applying simulated inputs to the life expectancy model. The life expectancies are produced after verification to indicate when to replace the part.

  • Patent number: 10664743
Abstract: Methods, computer program products, and systems are presented. The methods include, for instance: modeling for a subject process by machine learning with adaptive inputs. In one embodiment, the modeling may include: generating a model by use of machine learning with training data from measurements of successive components of a process to be modeled in order to predict measurements of a succeeding component within a statistically meaningful prediction range; adjusting the generated model by use of machine learning with less-deviation inducing measurements from a preceding component in case the measurement of the succeeding component is out of the prediction range; and presenting the adjusted model as a prediction model for the process.

  • Publication number: 20020078567
Abstract: A coil maerial of special steel is cut and a ring coil for starter is formed, and both ends of the ring coil material for starter are connected thereby a ring-shaped material is formed. Two different machining works, a tooth part punching work and a chamfer part forming work, can be performed at one step. That is, the two different machining works can be performed by one press, and since the applied pressure is distributed in each step, the manufacturing in a small press becomes possible.

  • Patent number: 6374489
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a camshaft by inserting a hollow shaft 3 made of steel into an axial hole 400 of a cam lobe 4 made of a sintered alloy, by expanding the hollow shaft 3 by inserting a mandrel 1 into the hollow shaft 3, and by joining and fixing the expanded hollow shaft 3 and the cam lobe 4 while avoiding the constriction that might otherwise be caused by the retraction of the mandrel 1 inserted, of the expanded hollow shaft 3. The method includes an expanding step using a diverging long face 200, which is so formed on the leading head of the mandrel 1 as to diverge at an angle of about 8 to 30 degrees with respect to the axis toward the trailing end, and a bulging portion 2 formed to lead from the diverging face 200; and an expanding step using the bulging portion 2 of the mandrel 1 and a converging short face 201 which is formed so as to lead from the bulging portion 2 and to converge at an angle of about 8 to 30 degrees with respect to the axis toward the trailing end.

  • Patent number: 5647125
Abstract: In a die forging process, projections (4a) are formed on an inner circumference thereof. The projections (4a) are inserted into holes (46) provided in a disc plate (45). The projections (4a) are crushed by a punch 49 so that the disc plate (45) is securely fixed on an inner circumference of the annular gear 41. The process can eliminate a cutting and an electric welding to shorten a manufacturing time.

  • Patent number: 4839952
Abstract: A process for manufacturing toothed parts having a tooth profile on a portion of their outline. The process utilizes a press machine having top and bottom die sets with stock interposed therebetween at uniform intervals in sequence with the vertical operation of the press machine. The process includes a first step wherein a center hole is stamped in said stock and, a second step wherein a window hole corresponding to the exterior peripheral tooth profile is stamped in said stock using the center hole as a reference, a third step wherein a tooth profile having a tooth width greater and a tooth height lower than the final tooth profile is rough-formed on one side of said window hole, and a fourth step wherein the exterior periphery of said rough-formed toothed part undergoes stamping and ironing operations concurrently with the processing of the final tooth profile.

  • Patent number: 4800745
Abstract: The present invention relates to a spur gear automatic production process wherein spur gears are cold-press formed. The invention provides a top and bottom table with stock fed therebetween in sequential operation with the vertical stroke of the press machine, stamping a disk-shaped gear workpiece by means of top and bottom die sets in the first section which are positioned for integrated movement, thereafter moving said gear workpiece to the second section by means of an unobstructed feed, stamping thereon the tooth profile by means of the vertical stroke of top and bottom die sets positioned in said second section, and ironing said gear workpiece in the reverse direction to the stamping process.

  • Patent number: 4797986
Abstract: The present invention discloses a manufacturing process whereby a spur gear is cold-press molded. By means of the invention a pre-punched workpiece is loaded on a counter which is admitted to a bore in a female die having a chamfer at its inlet, pressure is applied on the workpiece through the bore in the female die by means of a punch when pressure is increased from below so as to lift the counter from the counter plate, a primary product is formed by means of causing said workpiece to descend so as to transit the chamfer, extracting said primary product from the female die and reversing its orientation top to bottom, and repeating the identical process once again.
