  • Patent number: 9531173
Abstract: A wire harness includes a conduction path, and a flexible sheathing member through which the conduction path passes and which has recessed sections and protruded sections. The recessed sections and the protruded sections extend in a circumferential direction on the surface of the sheathing member and are formed alternately along a longitudinal direction of the sheathing member. A curing-type adhesive or resin containing the adhesive is supplied to the recessed sections of a bent part which is formed when the wire harness is bent, and cured while the bent part is maintained in a bent shape.

  • Patent number: 5556187
Abstract: There is provided a vehicular display device in which a dial and a pointer are made to glow by a single light source other than a cold-cathode tube to reduce costs. The vehicular display device includes a dial and a disk pointer located at an opening of the dial. A movement having a decentered rotation shaft is mounted on the rear side of the disk pointer, and five bulb light sources are arranged around the movement. A first conical reflector for reflecting and guiding light from the light sources to the disk pointer is disposed between the light sources and the movement. Furthermore, a second reflector having reflecting curved surfaces for respectively guiding light from the light sources to the first reflector is disposed outside the light sources.

  • Patent number: 5320062
Abstract: A pointer for use in an instrument panel, such as a speedometer, in a vehicle. According to one embodiment, the pointer includes a conically shaped pointer body to which a pointer base is secured. A light source is disposed within the pointer base and a slit is provided in the body. The inner surface of the pointer body is reflective such that light directed from the light source is reflected off of the reflective surface and through the slit. In another embodiment the light source is disposed externally of the pointer and a reflecting member is provided in the pointer for reflecting the light towards the distal end of the conical body. The reflecting member can include a reflecting mirror or, alternatively, a prism.
