  • Publication number: 20110116674
Abstract: A headphone capable of preventing inadvertent damage is disclosed. The headphone includes a C-shaped headband, a strip-shaped arm portion, a sound emitting portion supported by the arm portion, a first connecting section, and a torsion-coil spring 16. The first connecting section connects the arm portion 3 to the headband 2 rotatably about a first axis parallel to a direction from the headband 2 toward the arm portion 3. The torsion-coil spring 16 is constructed to bias the arm portion 3, when the arm portion 3 is rotated about the first axis P1, toward a neutral position in which the arm portion 3 becomes parallel to the headband 2.

  • Publication number: 20110103635
Abstract: There are provided headphone which can provide a relatively small storage space when being carried around and which can prevent an unexpected breakage of the headphone. A headphone 1 includes a C-shaped headband 2, a band-plate-like arm part 3, a sound emission part 4 supported by the arm part 3, a first attachment portion 7 and a first maintaining body 48. The first attachment portion 7 rotatably connects the arm part 3 at a central portion of the sound emission part 4 on a side opposite to a sound emitting side of the sound emission part 4 about a first axis P1 along a width direction of the arm part 3. The first to maintaining body 48 maintains relative positions of the sound emission part 4 and the arm part 3 around the first axis P1.

  • Patent number: 5144677
Abstract: A microphone apparatus consists of a microphone body which incorporates a built-in microphone chip; a microphone cover formed of a net material and secured to the front end of the microphone body to enclose and protect the microphone chip inside; and a resilient ring whose outer circumference is shaped into a polygon. The resilient ring may be fitted directly over the net microphone cover; or it may be installed in a coupling ring that connects separated base and end portions of the microphone cover together. The polygonal outer surface of the resilient ring on the microphone cover prevents the microphone apparatus from rolling and fall when placed on a table because one of the flat sides of the polygon which is in contact with the table surface stabilizes the apparatus. Thanks to its resiliency, the polygonal resilient ring can be removed from the microphone cover so that any change that might occur when the ring blocks the sound wave can be prevented.
