  • Publication number: 20060218164
Abstract: Disclosed is a document management device capable of sharing documents in such a form that each user can simply search out the required document. The document management device has a configuration of operating in such a status that after some users have executed the operation of setting the disclosing destinations in some self-containers and after some users have performed the operation of setting the browsing request destinations in the self partner view containers, the container names of the containers possessed by the users designated as the browsing request destinations by the user of the partner view container and related to the container group in which the owner designates these users as the disclosing destinations, are displayed under the partner view container.

  • Publication number: 20010038710
Abstract: A process and an apparatus for converting multi-valued image data obtained, for a plurality of pixels of a continuous tone image, by an image input device, into binary image data representing a halftone image to be output by an image output device. The conversion is performed by comparing the multi-valued image data for the plurality of pixels with threshold values, which are determined in advance so as to be specific to a combination of the image input device and the image output device. Alternatively, the multi-valued image data may be corrected before comparison with threshold values, by using correction data which is determined in advance so as to be specific to a combination of the image input device and the image output device.

  • Patent number: 5982925
Abstract: An apparatus and method for reproducing a color image of an original color image. The apparatus and method produces a saturation range of color light in the original color image and reproduces a saturation range of an output device. The invention then calculates maximum saturation ranges covering the saturation range of the color light and the reproduced saturation range of the output device corresponding to each lightness. According to the maximum saturation range of the color light and the maximum reproduced saturation range of the output device corresponding to each lightness, the apparatus and method calculates a saturation compression rate for analogously compressing the saturation range of the color light into the reproducing saturation range, and performs a saturation compression on the original color image using the calculated saturation compression rate. A reproduced color image is then generated based on the performed saturation compression.

  • Patent number: 5717783
Abstract: A color image processing system in which image data generated in other systems can be commonly used is disclosed. In the color image data processing system, an image processing unit processes color image data represented in a uniform color space system under illumination by a first light source, and the image data includes information relating to the first light source. An image output unit receives color image data represented in a uniform color space system under illumination by a second light source and produces color images according to the color image data. A correction control unit in the image processing unit judges whether or not the first light source coincides with the second light source. A correction formula calculating unit calculates a correction formula corresponding to the difference in characteristics between the first light source and the second light source. A light source difference correction unit corrects the color image data according to the correction formula.

  • Patent number: 5506603
Abstract: A method for airbrushing and a device therefor enable to perform an airbrush operation in which only lightness or chroma is varied. The airbrush device performs the airbrush operation to gradate a designated region or regions of RGB data by converting the RGB data in a RGB coordinate system into image data in a lightness, chroma and/or hue coordinate system, and designating airbrush information for performing the airbrush operation on the converted image data in the lightness, chroma and/or hue coordinate system. Image data corresponding to the airbrush information is extracted from the converted image data in the lightness, chroma and/or hue coordinate system, and the airbrush operation is performed on the extracted image data in the lightness, chroma and/or hue coordinate system based on the airbrush information.

  • Patent number: 5497249
Abstract: An image data processing apparatus, in particular, an apparatus which performs filter processing on original image data, wherein an image data statistical processing unit is used to extract and statistically processing the characteristics of picture element distribution in the picture expressed by the original image data, an image data decision unit is used to decide on whether the original image data belongs to a first kind or second kind of picture based on the results of the statistical processing, and a filter selection unit is used to designate the filter size to be used by a filter processing unit so that it is possible to automatically discriminate between a first kind of picture which is suited to sharpening processing (e.g., a landscape) and a second kind of picture which is suited to smoothing processing (e.g., a portrait) and possible to automatically select the optimum filter.
