    Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a gas diffusion electrode that is less likely to cause damage to an electrolyte membrane or the like due to fluff in an outer peripheral portion during production of a membrane electrode assembly. The present invention provides a gas diffusion electrode including a conductive porous substrate containing carbon fibers and a microporous layer formed on a surface of the conductive porous substrate, in which the gas diffusion electrode satisfies at least one of the following (1) and (2): (1) the number of carbon fibers protruding from an edge portion by 20 ?m or more when viewed from a plane surface is less than 1.0 number/cm with respect to a length of the edge portion; and (2) the number of carbon fibers that are inclined at an angle of 30° or more in an in-plane direction of the gas diffusion electrode and have lengths of 10 ?m or more when viewed from a side surface of the edge portion is less than 1.0 number/cm with respect to the length of the edge portion.

    Abstract: A back sheet for a photovoltaic module includes a single substrate film and a layer C, the layer C contains an acrylic resin as a major component, the substrate film including a layer A and a layer B, wherein the layer A contains a polyester resin as a major component, contains a white pigment in an amount of 5.0% by mass to 25% by mass, has a thickness of 5 ?m or more, and is disposed on another surface of the back sheet, and the layer B contains a polyester resin as a major component, contains a white pigment in an amount of 1.0% by mass to less than 5.0% by mass based on the total amount of the layer B, and has a thickness accounting for 70% or more of the total thickness of the back sheet. The layer C may be made of a composition of an acrylic resin having a reactive functional group, a protected isocyanate compound, and an unprotected isocyanate compound.
