  • Publication number: 20060007938
Abstract: Internet Protocol (IP) telephone number information system performs for the telephone number in the existing communication systems. A number information server in the system has a region information database representing an IP telephony service area for each of a plurality of Internet Service Providers (ISPs) having a corporate information database. The number information server specifies one of the plurality of ISPs from the region information database, based on a search condition input from a user terminal connected to the Internet. The specified ISP searches the corresponding corporate information database, and obtains number information matching the search condition. The number information server notifies the user terminal of the number information obtained from searching the corporate information database, in response to the search condition input from the user terminal.

  • Patent number: 6636588
Abstract: In an intelligent network system, a service subscriber can remotely execute a procedure, such as a registration or a change of the contents of service, which is performed by an operator in the conventional system, through an external terminal by him or her. The intelligent network system includes a service control point that controls services and provides a database storing data relating to a service subscriber; a service management system, which monitors load on the service control point, stores and manages data relating to the service subscriber; external terminals owned by the service subscriber; and a remote access management system, which is interfaced with the external terminal. The service management system updates and records the data of the updated subscriber's service, which is transmitted through the remote access management system, in the database of the service control point, when the service control point does not over-load.

  • Patent number: 6085194
Abstract: A service managing apparatus for managing a state of a service controlling apparatus providing services in response to a request from an exchange has a request number reading unit for reading the number of requests for service supply from the exchange held by the service controlling apparatus, a database reading unit for reading contents of a database for service operation possessed by the service controlling apparatus, a collating unit for collating the read contents with contents in a corresponding region of a subscriber database, and a read control unit for controlling the reading of the contents of the database on the basis of the request number information read out by the request number reading unit, thereby periodically detecting normality of the databases in a network in service operation to prevent degradation of the services even if the number of transactions is increased.
