  • Patent number: 7693413
Abstract: A camera system has: cameras; and an information-processing device connected through a communication network with the cameras, which acquires a shot image from the cameras. Each camera includes: an image-pickup part taking an image of a subject; and an image-pickup synchronizing part mutually synchronizing an image-pickup timing of the camera with an image-pickup timing of another camera.

  • Patent number: 7526252
Abstract: An information communication system includes a first telephone operated by a first user, first proximity communication means operated when a first device comes into its vicinity so as to connect the both, a second telephone operated by a second user, and second proximity communication means operated when a second device comes into its vicinity so as to connect the both. The first telephone reads an IP address of the first device via the first proximity communication means, transmits it to the second telephone via a telephone network, and notifies it to the second device via the second proximity communication means. By link operation between a telephone and an electronic device in its vicinity, it is possible to share information and exchange information with a conversation partner via the telephone.

  • Patent number: 7433699
Abstract: There is provided an information processing system, which includes measures to address issues regarding the access control and/or session control, capable of transmitting and receiving a control packet from a remote apparatus that is placed on a network in a location where another party resides, with which voice dialog communications is being taken place. Further it is desirable to provide an information processing system and/or an information processing method with. Two personal digital assistants are respectively connected via radio to two connection points, which are called access points, to perform voice communication using VoIP network. In addition, the two personal digital assistants exchange packets of data between two personal computers via the Internet and local radio communication units after establishments of connections with the personal computers are achieved using RFID.

  • Patent number: 7415212
Abstract: A transmitter formed of two or more light-emitting sections such as LEDs, which are physically arranged in a predetermined manner, is disposed in the real world object, and each light-emitting section transmits data by flashing at a flashing pattern representing the transmission data of a predetermined bit length. A receiver, on the other hand, includes a photoreceiving section formed from a two-dimensional photoreceiving surface, decodes the transmission data on the basis of the photoreceived flashing pattern, and recognizes the spatial information of an object on the basis of the flashing position on the two-dimensional photoreceiving surface. Therefore, information, such as an ID, can be obtained from the object in the real world, and also, the spatial position of the object can be recognized at the same time.

  • Patent number: 6957359
Abstract: If an incidental interruption of power supply occurs in a system, an apparatus and method is provided that a status immediately before the interruption of power supply can be stored. A request for a status-storing process is outputted from an application to a check point manager in a module. A request for an execution of a snap shot output to components, such as the application, a device driver and the like, is outputted to the manager. A sequence at this time is based on an sequence recorded in a status-storing database. The sequence represents a dependence relation between the components. When each component receives the request for the snap shot output, a function existing in a particular address for each component is read out and the component status is outputted as a snap shot file through the manager to a non-volatile memory.
