  • Publication number: 20200332245
Abstract: A cell culture device includes an isolator and an incubator. A connection unit is used to connect the isolator and the incubator, and is provided with: a flexible cell supply tube extending from the incubator to the isolator; and a tube support unit having a holding part holding the cell supply tube and a connection end part attached to the incubator. The tube support unit can be switched between a first configuration in which the tube support unit supports the cell supply tube such that the cell supply tube extends in a first direction and a second configuration in which the tube support unit holds the cell supply tube such that the cell supply tube extends in a second direction. The second configuration is switched to the first configuration by means of the restoring force of the tube support unit.

  • Publication number: 20190185807
Abstract: A cell culture device includes: a culture tank of culturing a cell in a culture solution, the culture tank being in a shape in which a horizontal sectional area upwardly increases; a pump and a culture solution supply pipe, as a supply unit supplying the culture solution to the culture tank; and a control unit controlling the supply of the culture solution of the supply unit, in which the culture solution is intermittently supplied to the culture tank from the supply unit, according to the control of the control unit, and a circulation upward flow is formed in the culture solution, and thus, a plug flow of the culture solution is formed in a culture region in which the cell is retained in the culture tank.

  • Publication number: 20190185808
Abstract: In a state where a culture unit is contained in a container of an automatic cell culture device, the circulation of a culture solution in the culture unit is controlled by a control unit, and cell culture is performed in a culture tank. The culture solution is supplied from a culture solution tank, and the cell cultured by a cell collection vial, is collected. In a state where the culture unit is contained in a container of a cell culture device for transport, the circulation of the culture solution in the culture unit is controlled by the control unit, and the cell culture is performed in the culture tank. For this reason, even in a state where the culture unit is attached to the cell culture device for transport, the circulation of the culture solution is controlled, and thus, the culture of the cell is continued.
