  • Patent number: 6031631
Abstract: One of a plurality of image processing apparatus connected to an image processing system freely sets image forming conditions, such as recording paper size and enlargement/reduction magnification ratio, with regard to some or all of the other image processing apparatus, subsequently reads the image of an original by means of a reader, outputs image data indicative of the image read and transmits this image data to the other image processing apparatus. The image processing apparatus that has read the image of the original and the image processing apparatus that has received the image data output copies of the image of the original on the basis of the image forming conditions that have been set. Accordingly, it is possible to provide an image processing method and system in which a plurality of image processing apparatus are connected and identical images are outputted simultaneously from each of the apparatus connected.

  • Patent number: 5729357
Abstract: An image processing apparatus inputs image signals by a plurality of pixels in synchronism with a predetermined clock; designates a reduction ratio of an image represented by the input image signals; cumulatively adds a value on the basis of the inverse of the designated reduction ratio in synchronism with the predetermined clock and holds a value of predetermined number of lower significant digits of the added value; and thins out and interpolates image signals input by the input means in accordance with whether or not the value held by the addition means exceeds a predetermined value.

  • Patent number: 5678128
Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes a transporter for transporting a transfer medium to a plurality of image forming stations for transferring images in sequence onto the transfer medium. Each of the plurality of image forming stations has a recording medium onto which a transferred image is formed, an image forming device for forming the image on the recording medium, and a detector for detecting a state of the image formed on the recording medium. A controller operates in first and second modes, wherein the first mode operating conditions of the image forming device are determined based on a detected state of the image formed on the recording medium, and wherein in the second mode, the image forming device is controlled based on the operating conditions determined in the first mode.
