  • Publication number: 20120152758
Abstract: Provided is a method for processing glass, which can process glass with fewer steps and thus at less cost than of the conventional methods. In the present processing method, a part of a glass substrate (6) is locally dissolved, which part is located in the vicinity of a processing electrode (1), by causing the processing electrode (1), that acts as an anode, to be in contact with or in proximity to the glass substrate (6) in a processing liquid (8), the processing liquid containing fluoride ions, water, and an acid-generating assistant agent which is more easily oxidized than water and generates hydrogen ions upon being oxidized.

  • Patent number: 7854871
Abstract: The present invention provides a method for producing a polyolefin-based resin crosslinked foamed sheet which is excellent in heat resistance and flexibility, has a small diameter of cells, can be developed in various utilities, and is excellent in vacuum moldability. The method for producing a polyolefin-based resin crosslinked foamed sheet according to the present invention comprises the steps of supplying a foamed sheet with closed cells, comprising a polyolefin-based resin, to a gap between one pair of rolls which have different circumferential speeds, and are rotated so that rotation directions on facing surfaces are the same direction, and applying a compression force and a shear stress to the foamed sheet with closed cells simultaneously to rupture a part of closed cells of the foamed sheet with closed cells to communicate closed cells into open cells.

  • Patent number: 7135414
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for producing a multicrystalline silicon substrate for solar cells comprising: a metal deposition step for depositing such metal particles as platinum and silver on the surface of the substrate by electroless-plating chloroplatinic acid or silver perchlorate; a boring step for subjecting the substrate surface to etching in a solution containing at least one of hydrofluoric acid and hydrogen peroxide; and a step for removing a stain layer by immersing the substrate into an alkaline solution. A multicrystalline silicon substrate having a lower reflectance is provided at a lower cost.
