  • Patent number: 7015700
Abstract: Flaw detection apparatus includes an electrode disposed in a region surrounded by a packaging material including a layer of an electrically-conductive material; a cutting member made of an electrically-conductive material and adapted to cut a predetermined portion of the packaging material; a variable detector, disposed between the electrode and the cutting member, for detecting an electrical variable; and flaw detection processor for reading the detected variable and for determining, on the basis of the detected variable, a flaw in the packaging material. In this case, the variable detector is disposed between the electrode and the cutting member.

  • Publication number: 20040027133
Abstract: An object is to provide a flaw detection apparatus which can simplify labor necessary for flaw detection, which can inspect all packaging containers, and which does not destroy packaging container during inspection. The flaw detection apparatus comprises an electrode disposed in a region surrounded by a packaging material (11) including a layer of an electrically-conductive material; a cutting member made of an electrically-conductive material and adapted to cut a predetermined portion of the packaging material (11); variable detection means, disposed between the electrode and the cutting member, for detecting an electrical variable; and flaw detection processing means for reading the variable and for detecting, on the basis of the variable, a flaw generated in the packaging material (11). In this case, the variable detection means is disposed between the electrode and the cutting member.

  • Patent number: 6192660
Abstract: An apparatus for supplying and applying cap bodies (51) to a packaging container includes a gas supplying device (11) which supplies a hydrogen-oxygen gas mixture obtained by electrolyzing water, a burner unit (22) that is connected to the gas supplying device (11) for receiving hydrogen-oxygen gas mixture from the gas supplying device (11) and burning the hydrogen-oxygen gas mixture and a pickup apparatus (80) which transports a cap body (51) to a heating position above the burner unit (22). The burner unit (22) is provided with a plurality of nozzles (31) that are arranged in a pattern that corresponds in shape to the shape of the underside periphery of the cap body (51). A shield plate (57) is positionable above the nozzles (31) to deflect the hydrogen-oxygen gas mixture emitted from the nozzles (31), and an igniter (32) is disposed adjacent one of the nozzles (31), to ignite the mixture emitted from the nozzle (31).

  • Patent number: 5775055
Abstract: An anvil system including a plurality of anvils having an interconnected cooling system. Each of the anvils has a means for acoustically insulating the anvil body from ultrasonic energy which originates from a ultrasonic horn. The insulation means may be a airspace slot essentially separating the vibrating portion of the anvil from the anvil body. The anvil may also have an adjustable sealing pattern which allows for facilitated exchange of sealing patterns. The anvil may also have a plurality of projecting pads which reduces damage to the ultrasonic sealing equipment and to the object to be sealed.

  • Patent number: 5163297
Abstract: A device for preventing evaporation of liquefied gas in a liquefied gas reservoir used to cool an EDS detector of an electron microscope or the like is disclosed. A cold head of a cryogenic refrigerator is disposed so as to fit an opening of the top of the liquefied gas reservoir and moreover a temperature measuring instrument or a level gauge is disposed within the liquefied gas reservoir so that the cryogenic refrigerator is automatically operated depending on the temperature within the liquefied gas reservoir or on change in the liquid level of liquefied gas. In the manner vaporized gas is condensed and reliquefied, thus suppressing wasteful dissipation of vaporized gas.
