  • Patent number: 4380576
Abstract: An air cell of the invention has an air cathode, one surface of which is in contact with an electrolyte and the other surface of which is in contact with air. The air cathode has current collecting grids, a carbon powder, a binder and a metal chelate. The current collecting grids are located at the center of the air cathode. The concentration of the binder in an area of the air cathode which is in contact with the electrolyte beyond the current collecting grids is lower than the concentration of the binder in an area of the air cathode which is in contact with the air.
