Abstract: The present invention provides an image forming device including: a main body frame at which an opening is provided; an image forming section that is accommodated in the main body frame, and that forms an image on a recording medium; an opening/closing cover that is rotatably supported and opens and closes the opening, a bent portion of the opening/closing cover that is bent toward the main body frame covering an edge portion, at the side of the opening, of the main body frame in a state in which the opening/closing cover is closed; and a fixed cover that is provided integrally with the main body frame, and that covers the bent portion in the state in which the opening/closing cover is closed.

Abstract: An expansion box is used for an image forming apparatus including a main body part in which an image forming part is housed, and a sheet feeder cassette which is mounted to the main body part and in which sheets to be fed to the image forming part are contained. The expansion box is attached to the main body part, covers the sheet feeder cassette protruding from the main body part, and includes an opening through which a front part of the sheet feeder cassette is exposed. The image forming apparatus includes the main body part, the sheet feeder cassette and the expansion box. An assembly method of the image forming apparatus is also provided. The assembly method includes assemblage with attachment of the expansion box to the main body part and optionally a step of assemblage without attachment of the expansion box to the main body part.

Abstract: A paper folding apparatus for folding a copied sheet of paper discharged from a copying machine. The apparatus includes a feed roller pair for feeding a sheet of paper, a first folding roller pair, a second folding roller pair. This second folding roller pair is disposed in opposition to the first folding roller pair, for folding the sheet of paper fed from the feed roller pair in cooperation with the first folding roller pair. A swingable paper guide unit is disposed above the first and second folding roller pairs, for guiding the sheet of paper fed from the feed roller pair selectively to the first folding roller pair or the second folding roller pair. A paper guide plate is disposed between the first and second folding roller pairs, for leading a leading edge of the sheet of paper guided by the paper guide unit to a nip portion of the first folding roller pair or the second folding roller pair.
