  • Patent number: 8098293
Abstract: An image extracting apparatus is provided which can automatically finish a captured image of a person to provide an easy-to-view picture. It includes an image input unit supplied with a captured color image of the person to output it as digital data, a flesh-color region extraction unit supplied with the digital image data to detect a flesh-color region in the image, an object-image detection unit to detect an object image from the detected flesh-color region, and a trimming unit to trim the detected object image. On the assumption that a region extending from the top end of a certificate picture to the head top of a person is an overhead region A, a region extending from the head top to the jaw is a face region B and a region extending from the jaw to the bottom end of the certificate picture is a chest region C, the trimming unit trims the image so that the dimensional ratio between these regions A, B and C is 1:0.4 to 0.8:0.1 to 0.26.

  • Patent number: 7463274
Abstract: This invention provides an image printing apparatus, an image printing method, a program for an image printing method and a program having a program for an image printing method recorded thereon wherein disagreement in size between a scale and a photograph in scrap booking can be eliminated simply and with certainty. An image printing apparatus for printing an image to be used for scrap booking, comprising an image data acquisition section, a template retaining section, a template selection section, an image display section, an operation section and a printing section. Also it is demanded to provide an image printing apparatus, an image printing method, a program for an image printing method and a program having a program for an image printing method recorded thereon wherein otherwise possible deterioration of the finish arising from a line for cutting can be prevented.

  • Publication number: 20050141021
Abstract: A printing system and a printing method are provided in which a user can select the optimal method to output photographed image data when the user outputs input image data using a printing system or the like. When the photographed image data is input by the user to print the image data on which the user intends to perform printing processing, suitable printing sizes are computed with respect to the image data selected by the user among the input image data; a plurality of printing sizes including those suitable printing sizes are displayed on an operation screen; image data to be printed is generated based on the printing size selected from the plurality of printing sizes; and this image data to be printed is transmitted to a printing device which performs printing processing.
