  • Patent number: 5190588
Abstract: An electrostatic coating facility for an electroconductive coating material comprising a coating machine disposed in a coating zone while being grounded to the earth, an insulated conveyer disposed in the coating zone for conveying an object to be coated in an electrically insulated state and applying a high voltage to the object, an entering conveyer disposed for carrying the object into the coating zone, a delivery conveyer for carrying the coated object out of the coating zone, and a relay transfer device interposed between the insulated conveyer 1 and the entering conveyer or the delivery conveyer for transferring the object in an electrically insulated state while keeping a required insulation distance between each of them. Aqueous coating material free from public pollution can be used with no troubles for taking insulative measures on the side of the coating machine and without worry of spark discharge.

  • Patent number: 4813603
Abstract: A color exchange and cleaning device of a minibell painting machine has two systems or sections, that is, a bell-side (first) color exchange and cleaning section and a counter-side (second) color exchange and cleaning section, and includes a manifold provided with a bell-side conduit and a counter-side conduit. The bell-side conduit is communicated with a trigger dump valve for the bell-side color exchange and cleaning section and a trigger valve for the counter-side color exchange and cleaning section. The counter-side conduit is connected via a connection hose with the trigger dump valve for the bell-side color exchange and cleaning section. The trigger valve for the counter-side color exchange and cleaning section is connected with a dump valve. The counter-side conduit is provided with a plurality of color valves, a low-pressure thinner valve and a low-pressure air valve. Thus, a manifold for the bell-side color exchange and cleaning section is eliminated, and the connection hose is made short.

  • Patent number: 4728033
Abstract: Cleaning method upon color-change in an electrostatic multi-color coating apparatus adapted to supply paints of a multiplicity of colors, a cleaning air and a cleaning thinner selectively from a color-change device by way of a paint supply channel and a paint hose to an electrostatic multi-color coating machine, comprises successively steps of supplying a cleaning air and a cleaning thinner to the paint supply channel and cleaning the inside thereof by removing to discharge the paint remaining in the paint supply channel to a liquid discharge tank, sucking the paint remaining in the electrostatic coating machine and in the paint hose connected at one end thereof to the electrostatic coating machine from the other end of the paint hose and discharging the paint thus sucked to the liquid discharge tank, and then supplying a cleaning thinner and a cleaning air to the paint hose and the electrostatic coating machine to clean the inside thereof.
