  • Publication number: 20240008794
Abstract: A cortical spreading depolarization sensing method includes: acquiring, for each of a plurality of sites of the brain, waveform data indicating a temporal change in one or more types of biological information including at least any one of a direct current component of an electroencephalogram, hemoglobin concentration in the brain, cerebral blood flow, and brain temperature; determining windows set at predetermined time intervals on the waveform data and calculating a predetermined feature amount for each of the windows; performing threshold processing on the feature amounts to extract a timing of the occurrence of an event in which a value of the waveform data temporarily changes due to cortical spreading depolarization; acquiring the frequency distribution of the timings extracted based on the plurality of waveform data acquired in relation to a plurality of sites of the brain; and determining whether cortical spreading depolarization has occurred, based on the frequency distribution.

  • Publication number: 20230129638
Abstract: A subdural sensor includes: a substrate formed of a flexible material; and at least one type of sensor part mounted on the substrate. The substrate has an elongated shape, and includes: a sensor area in which the sensor part is mounted and a wiring pattern connected to the sensor part is formed; a wiring area contiguous with the sensor area, the wiring pattern extending in the wiring area; and a connector area contiguous with the wiring area, the connector area being an area on which a connector to be connected to the wiring pattern extending from the wiring area is mounted. A tip part of the sensor area has a planar shape that curves convexly toward an outer periphery, and a side shape that curves toward a first surface, the first surface being on the side of a dura mater when the subdural sensor is inserted into the subdural space.

  • Publication number: 20230104848
Abstract: An intravital cooling device is for cooling a target site in a living body and includes: a heat exchange part having a flow channel through which a refrigerant passes; and a flexible heat conduction sheet that is directly or indirectly connected to the heat exchange part and arranged to cover the target site, wherein the heat conduction sheet includes a living-body surface, which is a surface on the side that makes contact with the target site, and an outer surface, which is a surface opposite from the living-body surface.

  • Publication number: 20130072776
Abstract: A cerebral local portion cooling probe is composed so that a handheld module includes a Peltier device and a coolant liquid circulating part arranged so as to contact with the Peltier device and wirings, conduits and a heat radiating part are connected to this handheld module. Circulation of coolant liquid and operation of the Peltier device are implemented by means of a control unit, then the tip end of the handheld module is caused to contact with a cerebral local portion to be cooled and a state of the cerebral local portion is monitored in accordance with responses to the cooling. A cerebral function mapping device comprises a mapping module in which a plurality of cooling modules are arranged, each cooling module including a Peltier device and a coolant liquid circulating part in a manner similar to that of the cerebral local portion cooling probe.
