Abstract: A method of producing sulphuric acid from a sour tail gas comprises (a) obtaining a sour tail gas stream comprising H2S or reduced sulphur species or a combination thereof from an oil and gas facility; (b) subjecting the sour tail gas stream to oxidation and obtaining an oxidized gas stream comprising SO2; and, (c) utilizing the oxidized gas stream to obtain sulphuric acid and a SO2 reduced tail gas stream. The method may further comprise subjecting the oxidized gas stream to a regenerable absorption process. The sulphuric acid may be used to produce fertilizer.

Abstract: Modular Gas And Odor Filtering Device and Method will be described. The Device is configured to float on water of similar liquid surfaces holding a filtering cartridge. The emitted gases from the liquid surface will then initially go through the filter and be imprisoned or degraded. A plurality of modular floating filtering units may additionally be joined together in order to cover a wider surface and allow a more substantial filtration of the emitted gases, thus reducing the odors and/or gas emissions.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a system and method for dynamically controlling odor emission. The system comprises an odor measurement tool, a weather condition measurement tool, a processing module and a controller. The odor measurement tool is adapted to measure an odor level. The weather condition measurement tool is adapted to measure at least one weather condition. The processing module is adapted to calculate an odor emission threshold based on the measured odor level, the at least one weather condition, an atmospheric dispersion model and a predetermined remote odor level threshold. The controller is adapted to control the odor emission below the odor emission threshold.

Abstract: This invention is directed to a mine roof support set including a plurality of nested containers. Each container in the set has a progressively smaller cross-sectional dimension to allow the containers to be nested one within the other. The plurality of nested containers allows more efficient transportation of the mine roof support set to a mine site. The containers can be separated at the mine site and filled with a load-bearing material. The containers filled with the load-bearing material are placed with their longitudinal axis between a mine roof and a mine floor.
