  • Publication number: 20220292257
Abstract: An extraction unit extracts candidates including predictive candidates, as candidates corresponding to an input character string. A control vocabulary storage unit stores a control vocabulary to be learned with teaching material. A determination unit determines whether a usage mode is a first mode or a second mode. An output control unit outputs the candidates in an arrangement order according to priority. When the usage mode is the first mode, the output control unit excludes, from the candidates to be output, any words in the control vocabulary extracted as predictive candidates. Also, when the usage mode is the second mode, the output control unit increases the priority of any words in the control vocabulary extracted by the extraction unit as predictive candidates, among the candidates to be output.

  • Patent number: 11237644
Abstract: A character input device according to one or more embodiments may include a controller including a suggestion controller and a display controller, and a database. The database stores a normal predictive conversion suggestion, a group including a plurality of group conversion suggestions each having a common element, and a symbol representing an attribute that classifies the plurality of group conversion suggestions by a characteristic different from the common element in the group. The suggestion controller may detect a reading of an input character and detects, in response to the reading of the input character at least partially matching a name of the group, the symbol representing the attribute of the group. The display controller may display the normal predictive conversion suggestion and the symbol.

  • Publication number: 20210286443
Abstract: A character input device according to one or more embodiments may include a controller and a database. The database may store a normal predictive conversion suggestion, a function name, and a function setting module associated with the function name. The controller may include a suggestion controller and a display controller. The suggestion controller may obtain a function setting symbol for enabling the function setting module in response to the reading of a character at least partially matching the function name. The display controller may display the function setting symbol obtained by the suggestion controller together with the normal predictive conversion suggestion.
