  • Publication number: 20030218597
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a wireless interactive presentation system that operate in cooperation with a host computer system executing PC compatible application programs capable of generating and displaying text, image and graphic content on a projector or presentation device. The wireless interactive presentation system also includes a wireless data transceiver capable of communicating and exchanging application or system commands and data with a network-based computer system. The wireless interactive presentation system comprises a micro-controller, an infrared receiver and a wireless transceiver to provide short-range communication between the remote system and wireless interactive presentation system. The microcontroller of the wireless interactive presentation system executes a control program to process the commands and data received from remote computer via the wireless transceiver and provides the resultant application window, template, or graphical display data to projector or presentation device.

  • Publication number: 20030218632
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a personal mobile display system that operate in cooperation with a remote system that include a processor for executing PC compatible application programs capable of generating and displaying a plurality of operational functions and data in response to user specified input. In addition, the present invention is directed to a method of providing event driven functionality that allows a personal mobile display system to system to cooperatively execute application programs in conjunction with a remote computer system by detecting that a change to the functionality, appearance and logical position of an application-oriented functional element and categorizing type of event. Once categorized the present invention encapsulates one or more events as an event transform to be transmitted to a corresponding remote computer system.

  • Patent number: 5526389
Abstract: A spread spectrum open loop data recovery processor receives a single information channel bi-phase modulated RF signal and combines it with a locally generated fixed frequency signal having an accuracy of at least 5 ppm. A balanced demodulator combines the received and local signals to derive an `I` and a `Q` analog information signal. The remote transmitter modulates both channels with the same information. The `I` and `Q` analog signals `slip` with respect to one another. The accuracy of the fixed frequency signal insures that the rate of slip does not exceed the ability of the data recovery processor to attain an error rate of better than 1 ppm. The `slip` results in both analog signals periodically going through null. The quadrature phase relationship between the `I` and `Q` analog signals insures that both are not simultaneously null. An amplitude comparator determines which analog signal has the greater instantaneous amplitude.
