  • Publication number: 20080020173
Abstract: The pile fabric having a very soft hand, a high abrasion resistance and a good bathochromic effect comprises a ground structure portion constituted from a polyester filament yarns and having a knitted or woven structure and a pile portion comprising polyester filaments knitted or woven into the ground structure portion. The polyester filaments for the pile portion have a flat cross-sectional profile with a flat ratio of 2 to 6, and an individual filament thickness of 0.5 to 1.5 dtex. In the flat cross-sectional profile, least two pairs of mutually opposite concavities (valley portions) are formed.
