  • Publication number: 20230260233
Abstract: A virtual object system can coordinate interactions between multiple virtual objects in an artificial reality environment. Embodiments receive a first virtual object, the first virtual object including first properties, where the artificial reality environment is set in a real-world environment. Embodiments register the first properties of the first virtual object to receive notifications of events from the artificial reality environment. Embodiments receive one or more queries from a second virtual object and in response to the one or more queries, respond to the second virtual object with identified features of the real-world environment in which the artificial reality environment is set and identifications of one or more other virtual objects (e.g., the first virtual object). The second virtual object can use the identification of the first virtual object to register for events related to the first virtual object and/or communicate with the first virtual object.

  • Publication number: 20230253796
Abstract: A converter station, for a bipole power transmission scheme, includes a first voltage source converter and a second source converter. Each converters have a first terminal as transmission conduit and a second terminal as a return conduit. The second terminal of the return conduit of the first converter is electrically connected to the first terminal of the transmission conduit of the second converter as being a same terminal. Both voltage source converters also includes at least one converter limb which extends between the first and second terminals of each converters. The or each converter limb includes first and second limb portions that are separated by a corresponding first and second AC terminal which is for connection to a respective phase of a first or second AC network.

  • Patent number: 11386630
Abstract: In one embodiment, the system may receive a serialized data stream generated by serializing data chunks including data from a video stream and contextual data streams associated with the video stream. The contextual data streams may include a first computed data stream and a sensor data stream. The system may extract the video data stream and one or more contextual data streams from the serialized data stream. The system may generate a second computed data stream based on the sensor data stream in the extracted contextual data streams. The system may compare the second computed data stream to the first computed data stream extracted from the serialized data stream to select a computed data stream based on one or more pre-determined criteria. The system may render an artificial reality effect for display with the extracted video data stream based at least in part on the selected computed data stream.

  • Patent number: 11214140
Abstract: Liquid fuel tank comprising a plurality of liquid level detection capacitive sensors, each arranged along an edge of the fuel tank such that the capacitance of said sensors varies with the volume of fuel present in the fuel tank, wherein an independent liquid level detection capacitive sensor is arranged along each edge of the fuel tank bottom and of the side walls; wherein the tank is electrically conductive and each level sensor comprises an electrically insulating plate arranged thickness-wise between sensor and tank, such that tank and sensors are capacitively uncoupled. Method for obtaining the fuel volume comprising: obtaining the reading of the liquid level detection capacitive sensors arranged on the edges of the tank; calculating the volume, corresponding to the fuel, of the geometric solid defined by the fuel tank and by the upper surface of the fuel as defined by the liquid level readings from the sensors.

  • Patent number: 11030814
Abstract: In one embodiment, the system captures a video data stream of a scene and contextual data streams associated with the video data stream. The contextual data streams comprise a sensor data stream or a computed data stream. The system renders an artificial reality effect based on the contextual data streams for display with the video data stream. The system generates a serialized data stream by serializing data chunks of the video data stream and the contextual data streams. The system stores the serialized data stream into a storage. The system extracts the video data stream and one or more of the contextual data streams from the serialized data stream by deserializing the data chunks in the serialized data stream. The system renders the same or another artificial reality effect for display with the extracted video data stream based on the extracted contextual data streams.

  • Patent number: 10742306
Abstract: A monitoring platform may obtain information concerning a location of a node device on a wire and information concerning a location of an antenna of a customer premises equipment (CPE). The monitoring platform may cause, based on the information concerning the location of the node device and the information concerning the location of the antenna of the CPE, the node device to move from a first node device position to a second node device position on the wire. The monitoring platform may cause the node device and the CPE to communicate via a communication link.

  • Publication number: 20180196970
Abstract: The present application intends to solve the problem of concealing a choice selection from third-party vision using optical effects. Disclosed are methods designed so that the user making the selection can easily tell the difference between the two types of option, correct choice versus confounder, but that difference is blurred rapidly with distance—up to one meter distance becomes indistinguishable. The disclosed methods can be used to make individual choices (2) in environments of proximity with others while maintaining the confidentiality of choice, for example, questionnaires (1) in various fields of education, ATM, voting booths, etc.

  • Patent number: 8698634
Abstract: An integrated monitoring and multichannel communication system for the management of rescue teams, especially those fighting forest fires, comprises a suit, worn by a rescue worker; an electronic system; a telecommunication system; and an information system. The suit integrates fireproof, waterproof, heatproof and impact resistant materials to integrate, protect and allow access to the electronic system. The electronic system collects biometric and location data from the rescue worker, transmitting said data to a panel located in the back of the suit. The telecommunications system sends the biometric, orientation and location data, in real-time through an Ultra High Frequency network, to a computer integrated into a support vehicle, which in its turn sends the data to a server. The information system collects and manages the data to monitor the biometric, orientation and location data, to receive critical alerts and through maps to define deployment strategies for the rescue worker.

  • Publication number: 20090313748
Abstract: The present invention consists of an integrated monitoring and multichannel communication system for the management of rescue teams, especially those fighting forest fires, comprising a suit (1), worn by all operational suited units in the terrain; and electronic system (2); a telecommunication system (4) and an information system (3). The suit integrates fireproof, waterproof, heatproof and impact resistant materials, which as a unit integrate, protect and ease access to the electronic system. The electronic system (2) collects biometric and location data from the operational suited units in the terrain, transmitting said data to a panel located in the back of the suit. The telecommunications system (4) sends the biometric, orientation and location data, in real-time through an Ultra High Frequency network, to a computer integrated into a support vehicle, which in its turn sends the data, via terrestrial or satellite communications, to a server.
