Publication number: 20150215454Abstract: Methods and systems for detecting unintentional calls placed to a call center. In some implementations, a device with telephone capability recognizes that it is being used to place a call, and automatically collects information usable to estimate whether the call is intentional or unintentional. The device may make the estimate, or may send the collected information to the recipient of the call. When a call is estimated to be unintentional, the device may signal the user of the device, or may inform the recipient of the call that the call is suspected to be unintentional, or both. The collected information may include outputs from one or more sensors, such as an accelerometer, a microphone, a camera, or a biometric sensor. A button press initiating a call may be considered in the context of other usage of the device to estimate whether the call was intentional or unintentional.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 10, 2015Publication date: July 30, 2015Applicant: GreatCall, Inc.Inventors: Kotaro Matsuo, Miguel Gonzalez

Patent number: 9071952Abstract: Methods and systems for detecting unintentional calls placed to a call center. In some implementations, a device with telephone capability recognizes that it is being used to place a call, and automatically collects information usable to estimate whether the call is intentional or unintentional. For example, the device may record the timing of presses of a button used to initiate the call, the force used to press the button, or other parameters. The device may analyze the information, or may forward at least some of the information to the call recipient for analysis. When a suspected unintentional call is detected, the device may signal the user of the device, or other actions may be taken.Type: GrantFiled: September 27, 2013Date of Patent: June 30, 2015Assignee: GreatCall, Inc.Inventors: Kotaro Matsuo, Miguel Gonzalez

Patent number: 9058333Abstract: Techniques related to publishable metadata for content management are described that enable selective invocation of new components in a web content management system. Metadata that is published in connection with corresponding content can be configured to include tags or other identifiers that cause a content management system to selectively direct content processing between existing and new components. Switches implemented by the content management system can operate to examine the metadata to determine which processing components are selected for particular content and direct the content to corresponding components. Switches can also be placed in websites to direct page requests from clients to existing or new rendering controls based upon publishable metadata that is associated with a requested page. Thus, the metadata and switches can be employed to perform testing of and load balancing between new and existing components in a live environment.Type: GrantFiled: March 2, 2011Date of Patent: June 16, 2015Assignee: Microsoft Technology Licensing, LLCInventors: Yusuf Atas, Miguel A. Patent number: 8589131Abstract: This procedure proposes the appropriate equations that determine the rotor movement in order to obtain the aerodynamic actions for each blade in each iteration (the forces that are transmitted to the helicopter and the moments with respect to the articulations), and they are resolved by discretizations made in the rotor disc, such that that the blade elements of the partition are connected to the disc, which does not rotate, instead of to each blade. The blades pass through an azimuth range in each iteration, making a division of each blade longitudinally into ne elements, and the rotor disc into na sectors, corresponding to divisions of the range of azimuth angles. Therefore, partitions are made on ne·na blade elements, identifying each blade element by means of its distance to the rotor axis and its azimuth angle.Type: GrantFiled: August 16, 2007Date of Patent: November 19, 2013Assignee: Indra Sistemas, S.A.Inventor: Miguel Gonzalez Cuadrado

Publication number: 20130255045Abstract: An elastic cord having at least one tapered protruding portion along its length, wherein the extent of protrusion is reduced when the cord is axially stretched, and returns to its original size when the cord is relaxed, is described. One embodiment includes an elastic core about which a flexible sheath is fitted, wherein chosen axially spaced-apart portions of the sheath form tapered isolates or knots in accordance with selected patterns for protrusions therein when the elastic core is in its relaxed state. Such knots are formed when the sheath is cause to bunch up at these axial locations. Sheath patterns may be achieved by employing a woven structure for the sheath. The protruding portions or knots reversibly resist movement of the elastic cord through an opening having a chosen size, such as an eyelet of a shoe.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 1, 2013Publication date: October 3, 2013Inventor: Miguel A.
