    Abstract: A system may include a monitoring device that may receive data associated with one or more properties of a well. The well may produce a flow of hydrocarbons. The monitoring device may receive data associated with the well and determine whether the flow of hydrocarbons includes a percentage of water greater than a threshold based on whether the data is outside a profile associated with the flow of hydrocarbons at the well over time. The monitoring device may then send an alarm notification to another device indicating an increased water cut in the flow of hydrocarbon.
