  • Patent number: 9057124
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for obtaining a surface of a titanium-based metal implant intended to be inserted into bone tissue, comprising: (a) projecting particles of aluminum oxide under pressure on the external area of the implant; (b) chemically treating the sandblasted external area of the implant with an acid composition comprising sulfuric acid and hydrofluoric acid; and (c) thermally treating the sandblasted external area of the implant by heating at a temperature of 200-450° C. for 15-120 min. The invention likewise defines a metal implant having said surface. The surface thus obtained has good micrometer-scale roughness with a suitable morphology, as well as a composition which is virtually free of impurities and a thickness which is approximately three times the thickness of conventional surfaces, which characteristics provide it with very good osseointegration properties.

  • Publication number: 20110218645
Abstract: The invention defines a surface of a titanium-based metal implant to be inserted into bone tissue, characterised in that it comprises substantially pure titanium oxide and has a thickness of 8-50 nm. Also, the invention defines a procedure for obtaining the surface, as well as the metal implant that exhibits it. This surface exhibits good micrometric roughness and a composition that is practically free from impurities and a thickness that is approximately three times the thickness of conventional surfaces; these characteristics provide it with very good osseointegration properties.

  • Publication number: 20100311014
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a dental implant used to support and secure the prosthetic elements replacing original teeth and especially for situations with aesthetic compromise and reduced available space due to the presence of adjacent teeth or due to the geometry of the bone, the dental implant including a threaded central body and a platform having a diameter between 3.1 and 3.5 mm with a conical outer and inner shape and extending by means of a threaded hole for retaining a pier for attachment to the prosthesis.

  • Publication number: 20100304335
Abstract: The invention relates to dental implants of the type used immediately after a tooth is extracted and intended to be placed in the alveolus after the extraction, the purpose of which is to increase both the long-term and the short-term stability of the implantation, and which basically comprises a conical body on which there is located a thread (1) allowing the screwing to the cortical area of the bone and another additional self-tapping thread or micro-thread (2) of a smaller size than the thread (1) and intercalated between it, as well as means for fixing the prosthetic elements.

  • Publication number: 20100233656
Abstract: The object of the invention relates to a dual function system for dental implants comprising a pier anchored to the implant through a retaining bolt and an attachment which can be used without distinction as a transfer element for taking an impression of the position of the implant or as a support for fixing a temporary prosthesis on said implant, wherein said attachment comprises axial retaining elements and radial retaining elements preventing its mobility when it is used both to take an impression and when it is used as a support of the temporary crown.

  • Publication number: 20090035721
Abstract: The invention relates to an assembly formed by a dental implant (1) formed by a threaded body (2) extending into a head (3) provided with a boss (4) which can be fitted in a cavity (13) made in a distal part (11) of a dental impression-taking device (10). The cavity (13) has projections (12) which can be inserted in recesses (14) of the boss (4), a tongue and groove coupling being generated upon joining in an aligned manner the two parts: a male part comprising said boss (4) preferably configured in the implant (1) and a female part formed by the cavity (13) adapted to such male part. Another alternative embodiment is to configure the male part in the dental impression-taking device (10). The projections (12) and recesses (14) are useful for retaining the joining with a simple clamping between the two parts, allowing to immediately take an impression in an extremely easy and quick manner.
